I have a Ford question?

I am not familiar with the types of Fords I see on this forum too much. Are these mostly the street versions of Rally cars?? Also I have noticed that many of the cars on this site look something like a car that alot of people had when I was a little younger in the US which is a Merkur X4Tti. Is the car related to some of these??? I didnt even know the Merkur had anything to do with Ford

The Merkur XR4TI is the US version of the European Sierra XR4I. But the US version has some different parts to meet US requirements. Like a different front bumper, lights, etc. I think it's 2 XR4TI owners on this fourm.

Most of the cars, like Fiesta, Focus, Mondeo, Kuga, Ka is mostly standard family cars. Sierra, Scorpio, Escort, Granada, Taunus, Capri, Cortina is the older standard cars. Of course many of this is not standard family cars longer

In the Cosworth forum you find most of the street versions of rallye cars,like 3dr Sierra Cosworth, 2wd and 4x4 Sierra sapphire Cosworth, and Escort Cosworth. The 2,9 24v Scorpio Cosworth isn't counted as a real Cosworth by many.
