Hi,

I registered on Gatebil.no yesterday and saw the link to this site. I thought I'd come along and introduce myself, because I will be attending Gatebil in July.

My name is Alan, and I am from Wales, U.K. Sorry, I don't speak Norwegian, so I'm not sure if I've posted this thread in the right place

Bare with me, I'm a fast learner!

Here is my car...

I'm not sure, I think its about 1,200 miles from where I live. So there's a lot of driving to be done. But I hope to get a few track opportunities! :)

Thanks!

Thanks guys, appreciate the comments! But here's a question, why are so many of you (including the Gatebil forum) want to see me on track in Rudskogen? Should I be afraid???

Unfortunately I don't have any engine build up work. Mainly because I've put 3 engines in her now. Started out as a 1.4 which I then Nitroused and killed, but still got 145bhp out of it, which lasted a good while. Then a 1.6 which I also Nitroused, but then got bored. Now the Focus RS 2.0 Turbo, but NO nitrous, its only used on the cooler for the turbo.

Check up on this thread in a couple of weeks, because I'm building my own custom Intercooler system to replace the chargecooler I have now. It will be similar to Pro Alloy's expensive system, but better ;)

Cheers!

It dont take all that long to drive over here, just take the ferry from New Castle to Stavanger, from there its just 8 hours of fun driving on Norwegian roads...:-) :-)

Grombil? Wehey, I'm learning something!

Well thanks again for the kind remarks guys, I really appreciate it! :)

I think I will have a play on the track then, would be a change from driving on the tracks at Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Donington Park :)

@ 2.8i TIC

So I'm guessing there aren't many Focus's on this forum or in Norway then?

A good friend of mine will also be joining me to Norway. He had a 2.1 ZVH in his Escort RS Turbo, but has now got a mean Zetec Turbo. Its a proper beast and a real showcar ;)

@ Sierra 2.9

Ah that's o.k. I'm not really fussed to be honest. I'm coming to see other cars and meet new people, and obviously put my car on stand all shiney

Thanks, I talk with Torgeir a lot on MSN, he's a great contact and well experienced beyond his years! :)

I guess I'll enter some sort of show and shine contest then, since the track is probably going to be packed...

Hi

Finally we get a cool Focus on Gatebil. Its way to much VWs there. It seems like no one in the car modification scene in Norway have discovered what fantastic car the Focus really is, and how much stuff you can get for the car. Everybody is modifiing Golfs and Audis, not to forget the E36 bimmer.

Had a couple of Focis myself, but never made it that far. Really like your car, i read about it in Perfomance Ford.

Maybe you get more mates with cool cars, bring them with you to Gatebil.

Welcome

Over til fienden...

Nope, but I have Torgeir and Ove (guy with the 718bhp white Evo 6) feeding me information and tips everyday via MSN and email!

But I do enough shows throughout the year, so I get the idea pretty well :)

But any further info would be appreciated.

We will be camping too!
