This was designed to give the driver information about the operation of the engine as seen by the actual engine managment sensors. This unit is wired in parallel with the ECU and so does not care which type of ECU or chip is fitted to the car. (Does not support EEC4 cars yet). The display shows real time data of the sensors in numeric and graphical format and also records peak operating data. Data is displayed on a backlit Black on yellow LCD and operation is with two push buttons. The unit continuously monitors sensors and checks for faults as well as user adjustable alarms and when a fault or alarm occurs, an output is energised to drive a lamp or buzzer to warn the driver of possible problems. The user can set alarms for HIGH BOOST, HIGH CHARGE TEMPERATURE, HIGH COOLANT TEMPERATURE, HIGH BATTERY VOLTAGE and LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE. In addition to the monitoring, control of a water injection pump comes as standard. This is controlled by wiring an external relay to drive a pump and the user can adjust all settings required to drive this such as boost pressure and charge temperature.
